My Thoughts Today...

To enjoy being a Christian, you must know how much God loves you..
To know how much God loves you, you must know how much you are worth..
To know how much you are worth, you must know how much Jesus is worth to God..
Why? Because God exchanged the life of Jesus for yours and mine..
Remember Jesus was not forced to give His life..He did it willingly..
Don't let any voice tell you anything contrary to this truth..
Not even your sin can separate you from the love of God, but unbelief can.
Belief this today and just keep smiling, there's a treasure in you. Look inside you.

The Game Was Rigged, We Win!

Life is like a battle field and each and every one of us have our battles. It's a warfare! As children of God, we are soldiers in the army of the Lord and all the challenges we go through are meant to make us strong. 2nd Timothy 2:3 says, "therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ."  The good news is that if we pay attention to God who knows the ending from the Beginning, Himself being the Beginning and the Ending, we will know how the end will be. God is on our side, the game was rigged, we win. We are more than Conquerors. We are overcomers in Christ Jesus.
It doesn't matter what you are going through or how you got to the place where you are...whether you are at fault or not, there is a good news for you. God is a God of 2nd chance, 3rd chance etc. "For the righteous man falls seven times and rises again" Proverbs 24:16.

Google image.
Ephesians 6 talks about the warfare we face in our lives and how to overcome them all.  Ephesians 6 from verse 10, tells us how..."Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth (which is the Word), having put on the breastplate of righteousness (the Word),  and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (the Word); above all, taking the shield of faith (the Word of), with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  And take the helmet of salvation (the Word), and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saint."
Remember, you are born of the Word and can only live by the Word. Let's take the Word of God seriously for it is our life and our life depends on it.  God bless you.

Surrender Your Mind!

Google image.
Beloved of God, when you are a Christian, it means that you are alive to God. By that, I mean your spirit is alive to God. Your spirit is now one with God. "But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him." 1 Corinthians 6:17. You are now in the household of God.  It is vital to note that it is the spirit of the man that is recreated not his mind. For man is a spirit, he has a soul (where his mind, emotions and thoughts reside) and he lives in a body. The real man is the spirit. So when we got saved, it was our spirit that was recreated, not our minds. This mind needs to be submitted to God, by renewing it with the Word of God. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12 vs 2.
God wants us to surrender our minds to Him by speaking and meditating on His words always so we can have a good life here in this world. "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." Joshua 1:8.  This is what will guarantee us having a good life, void of worry, sin, poverty, sorrow, sadness etc. Let's surrender our minds to God by keeping our hearts continually on His Word. Isaiah 26:3 says, "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! God bless you!

It's Still Worth A Dollar!

Google image.
If you take a fresh clean dollar note, squeeze it, crumple it, stomp on it, etc..it will still be worth a dollar. You may even tear it, when you put it together in a tape, it is still worth a dollar.  This is just an illustration. As human beings, created in the image of God, we are the most valuable of all of God's creatures. "And God said, 'let us make man in our image and after our likeness'" Gen 1:26.
I believe that if God could comfortably come in the likeness of man in the Person of Jesus, then we are and can be comfortably be in the image of God.  So you see, you are not a piece of trash, you are not even a sinner(that's if you have received Jesus).  You are righteous. God made you righteous just like He is. This is why Jesus came.

You may not necessarily like your life right now, you may be going through heat..I mean some real heat. Things may be going the wrong way for you physically, financially, emotionally spiritually..you may feel you have gone far in your sins. But in the eyes of God, you are worth the life of His Son Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."  John 3:16.  Jesus did not come to die in vain, He died for us. All you need do is to believe in Jesus and receive Him as the Lord of your life. Don't be ruled by those feelings of being unloved, condemned, abandoned, forgotten etc. Please don't give up, don't let satan push you into condemnation, into suicide, or into apostasy! Pick up yourself, run to God! Just open your mouth and ask God to save you in Jesus name, to help you, to make Himself real to you. You need to go to a Bible Believing Church to be taught the Word of God.
Make sure you do not give satan what he wants..your soul! Remember, it is never late with God, there's no situation God cannot change. God may not be early, but He is never late. He is always on time, for He is time.

It Did Not End At The Cross!

Justification is BIG, it is higher than redemption. As Christians, we are not just redeemed, we are justified. Redemption means saved from sin, while Justification means to be declared not guilty! If you are a Christian, in the eyes of God, you are not the redeemed..YOU ARE THE JUSTIFIED..meaning you are NOT GUILTY! Jesus by His death, redeemed/paid the price of the sins of every human being born into this world.  But being redeemed does not clear you from guilt and it's not a guarantee that you will not sin again. For example, if I do something wrong and you take my punishment, it doesn't clear me of the guilt and it may not stop me from doing something wrong again(think about it).
Google image.
Romans 5:1, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ"  We are justified because it did not end at the cross. Jesus Christ resurrected, He is Alive!
Question: If the death of Jesus means you are redeemed from your sins, what does His resurrection mean?

Romans 4:24-25, "..It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification."
God raised Jesus from the dead and when we receive Jesus, we are new creations like Him, God sees Christ in us, we are justified, we are righteous.
2 Corinthians 5:21, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
What if I sin you may ask..well, if you understand the love of God, you will not sin, that's why you gotta study your Bible to renew your mind, get close to God. However, if you do sin, the Bible says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
You see, God's love for us is amazing...all we have to do is believe and accept Jesus as our Lord. Remember, it did not end at the Cross..Jesus paid for our sins with His life, but God raised Him from the dead for our justification. You and I can now stand in God's presence, blameless and righteous not because of what we did or didn't do but because of what Jesus did. It's all about Jesus, it's all about the love of God!

Jesus Took Your Place, So You Can Take His Place.

The Bible said, "The Soul that sinneth, it shall die...!" Ezekiel 18:20. Sin is defined as the transgression of the law. God made the first man Adam, put him in a garden and commanded him saying, "of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the Knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it: for in the day thou eatest thereof thou shall surely die." Genesis 2:16-17.  Well, Adam disobeyed God by listening to satan, he ate the fruit (Genesis Chapter 3) and he died too. This is because God's spirit disconnected from him for God is too holy to be associated with sin. Death is separation from God for God is a Spirit, man is also a Spirit, possessing a soul and living in body. When God's Spirit departs from man's spirit, he is dead. This is the reason the ordinary man go through pains, sorrows, sicknesses, sufferings, hardship, fear, wickedness etc.

Image from Google.
However, we are not hopeless! God made a way for us to be reconciled to Him by sending His Son Jesus Christ to take our place and die for our sins so we can take His place. You may have heard about Jesus the Son of God, the one we celebrate His birth during Christmas. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit (His mom was a virgin) and He later grew up into a man. He was innocent, but for our sake He was condemned, beaten mercilessly, tortured beyond recognition. He was nailed to the cross and died for everyone. "For He(God) had made Him(Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." 2 Corinthians 5:21.  God is no longer judging man over his sins. All our sins, past, present and future have been paid for in full. The blood of Jesus is holy, spotless and very powerful, there's no sin it cannot clean. That blood was shed as a sacrifice for our sins. "For without the shedding of the blood, there is no forgiveness of sins" Leviticus 17:11, Hebrews 9:22.  Good News, is that God also raised Jesus from the dead for our justification. Yay! Jesus Is Alive!(This will be our next topic)

It's time for us to take our place in God by receiving Jesus as our Lord. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believes in Him is not condemned, but He that believes not is already condemned because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."  John 3:16-18.   See, this may sound as a cliche to you but you must know that if you do not confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will go to hell! Please DO NOT take this lightly.
If you want to make Jesus your Lord, please read the following lines loud and mean it from your heart.  'Lord Jesus Christ, I believe You are the Son of God! I believe that You died for me and that God raised You from the dead, I confess You  as my  Lord and Savior, and I ask that You come into my heart today and be the Lord of my life. Going forward, I will worship You for the rest of my life. Thank You for I am born again, I am saved.'

If you said those words above, Glory to God! You are now a Christian, you need to get in touch with other Christians; start going to church. You wanna know more about God so satan will not deceive you. The more you know about God, the stronger you become and able to reign in life over sickness, diseases, pains, poverty etc. The everlasting joy will be yours and you will be in constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Remember, you are a new born in Christ and like a new born baby desires milk, so you should desire the Word of God. Get in touch quickly with a Bible believing, teaching church, ask Jesus to show you the place to go and worship and I know He will. Try and start doing something in the church too. Look for a place to serve, use your talent, be it in music, cleaning, ushering, anything. Get involved! Join this Chariot! You will never regret it. You are loved!
Congratulations and welcome to the Family of God, I will be seeing you someday in Heaven. God bless you richly in Jesus name.

Did David Kill Goliath With A Stone?

Google image.
1st Samuel chapter 17 tells an amazing and fascinating story of king David and Goliath.  Goliath was a Philistine, a 10 feet tall giant, a man of war...while David was a 17 years shepherd boy. Goliath was completely covered with his battle armor while David had only a sling and a stone as his weapon, both ready for battle. However, David miraculously killed Goliath the giant with the first shot from his sling. It is interesting to note that the giant was already dead spiritually before David's stone got to his forehead. This is because David prophesied his death, he already saw how he will die and he described what will happen to the giant afterward...hear him "Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's , and he will give you into our hands."...1 Samuel 17:45-47.

David before now was already anointed to be king of Israel, and he was also a prophet, so his words were anointed and full of God's power. God honored his words. Ecclesiastes 8:4, "Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?"
Do you know as children of God we also are kings and our words are equally powerful?  Revelation 1:5-6, "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."  God wants us to take charge and make confessions that will always change our lives for His glory.  So if you are a child of God, you are a king and you better watch what you because it will definitely come to pass.  Job 22:28, "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee."  This is quite exciting, it means we can use our tongues to talk our ways to the top  "...for God had said...so we may boldly say"...Hebrews 13 v 5-6. God bless you.

Just My Thoughts Today.

Each day we wake up is a blessing and also an opportunity.
Our job is to use our talents to glorify God, touching lives in love,
Forgiving people who wrong us, saying 'thank you' for little things,
Putting a smile on the faces of people,
God has blessed us and made us a blessing..,
We can use it to make the world better,
God loves people, since we are like God, let's love like God. LOVE PEOPLE.

Take The Word Medicine Everyday!!

I've seen some people who religiously take their the drugs prescribed by the doctor as if their lives depends on it..(their lives depend on it, 'cos that's all they know)
If only we can pursue the things of God with such gusto!  It's okay to visit the doctor and take your drugs as directed after all it was God that gave man the science knowledge for it.  Question: What if you encounter a sickness or disease that the doctor can't cure? Then, whatchu gonna do? However, there's a way.  The way is in the Word of God and in your mouth!  Just like you take your medicine religiously everyday, you can take the Word Medicine as well and encounter not just divine healing, but divine health. God's Word is living and active! Hebrews 4:12.

Google image.
Proverbs 4:20-22, "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh." Would you pay attention to God's Word? Will you open your mouth and say what God says about you in His Word? How about telling that sickness to die and pass out of your body in the Name of Jesus because by His stripes you were healed!  How about declaring that you are in divine health everyday you wake up or whenever thoughts of sickness come into mind?

Romans 10:8-9, "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
I would to God that people take God's Word seriously and do as the Word says..hence Isaiah 53:1 says, "Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?"  Get a hold on God's Word and don't give up! Keep saying it, until the result becomes evident in your life. Say the Word like your life depends on it, 'cos your life sure depends on it. Remember, Hebrews 10:23 NCV, "Let us hold firmly to the hope that we have confessed, because we can trust God to do what he promised."

God bless you.

Who Are You Listening To?

One thing we can't change is the fact that man was made to be ruled by words.  Every decision you make, words you speak, things you do are based on the words that govern your life. Who you been listening to?  Remember Adam and Eve, when they disobeyed God and hid themselves from God in the garden because they found out they were naked; God asked Adam, "who told thee you were naked..?" Genesis 3:11.  God knew He made man to be ruled by words, so someone must have told Adam he was naked, since God didn't tell them, then who did. Who you been listening to?

Google image.
Proverbs 23:7, "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.."   Your life is directed by your thoughts, people just don't wake up and decide to commit suicide or kill other people, or rob them etc. They must have premeditated on such thoughts or been brain washed.  Instead of thinking negative thoughts, you might as well direct your mind to positive things and more importantly, to God's Word which is life and spirit. (John 6:63)
"Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."  Going to church on Sundays is not enough, we must study the Word personally and let it occupy your thoughts.  The power to cast down negative thoughts from your mind is by meditating on the Word of God. (2 Corinthians 10:4-6).....No wonder the Bible says "Guard your hearts more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it" Proverbs 4:23.

It is so easy to get carried away with thoughts that don't glorify God. You pick them from News, colleagues, relatives, even from the devil through your mind.  Thoughts of fear, condemnation, poverty, sickness etc they don't glorify God..but you can change them by redirecting your mind to think only good thoughts. God said it can be done..Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
