The Righteousness That Speaks...

Romans 10:5-6, "For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.”  But the righteousness of faith speaks.."   You can be righteous either by doing the law or by speaking the Word.  In keeping the righteousness of law, you are to observe to do all the commandments of God and if you break one, you've broken all. Nobody could really become righteous by keeping the law, hence Christ came fulfilled the law and ended it. Romans 10:4, "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."

A new type of righteousness has been revealed, this is the righteousness of faith..all you need do to obtain this righteousness is to speak. Romans 10:8-10, "But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."  You get to be a Christian by speaking and you must keep speaking to enjoy the Christian life. Christians are talkers. Words brought you into the Kingdom of God, Words will sustain you. To live a victorious Christian life here on earth you must keep talking the Word of God. Find out what God says about you and keep talking, remember the Righteousness of faith speaks!

John 3 verse 16.

First of all, I want to apologize to whoever that comes here everyday and sometimes no new message has been posted. I know I have faithful readers, God bless you all. I write by inspiration. I always ask the Holy Spirit to inspire me to write something that will bless people. I have to create a conducive atmosphere for ministration.  God bless you all real real good in Jesus name. Amen!

John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

This is the most popularly quoted verse in the Scripture.  As popular as this verse is, many Christians are yet to let the words sink into their spirits, souls and bodies. The first man Adam, disobeyed God and was cut off from God, so every man that came into this world was cut off from God.  To cut off from God means death.  Death here includes, sickness, poverty, infirmities, pain, sorrows, sadness, fear, anything evil.   Man has always been seeking to re-establish a relationship with God, that's why we have so many religion in the world. However, God, sent Jesus is Son to come and make peace between us.  John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."  Jesus paid the price of sin for us, with His life, and also gave us a new kind of life..the God kind of life. We are now called the sons of God. For God to give us His only Son Jesus, it means we are valuable to God just as Jesus is valuable to God. We need to live everyday in this consciousness..Jesus loves us, God loves us so dearly. I always pray for God to continuously keep me in the consciousness of His love, so I can always live the fulfilled life He has for me in Christ Jesus. Hope this is your prayer too.  God bless you.

Don't Magnify The Problem.

It is important to know that God created us to be and function like Him, esp now that we are born again.  God  gave us His nature, ability and His life!  As God created the world with His words (Genesis the 1st chapter), like Him, we are to create our world with our words.  We need to learn how to create good things, bless our day, bless, bless, bless...never say anything negative!
Talking about your problem magnifies it..even though you are trying to express what you are going through, do it with wisdom, always talk about what God is doing.   Someone will say, 'how can I say something different when am in a bad situation?'   Well, that's how you know if you have faith!   I believe you must have prayed for whatever situation you are passing through and according to the scriptures, it says, 'ask and receive' John 16 : 24.  If you did receive, then by faith act like you did receive..how? Instead of talking about the problem, now talk about what God did, believing that that which you asked for has already been done.

Will the enemy tell you otherwise, oh yea!  When you start acting your faith, he will come and tell you, 'are you sure? How come you still feel sick? How come, you still don't have the money? How come this, how come that?'  Refuse to be moved by what you see, be fully persuaded that God is able to do that which He said he will do.  It's called the fight of faith. This is when you start dancing and praising God for it.   Remember our papa Abraham, never considered the deadness of his body nor of his wife Sarah's womb, he did not stagger in his faith, he believed God and was praising him..knowing that God was able to do what He promised. Read Romans 4 verse 16 to end.

How Many Times Do You Praise God In A Day?

Psalm 119:164 says, "Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments."

Most people have concern for lot of things; it's either the job, school, health issues, money problem, enemies of progress, even church activities, kids, spouse, getting married..etc  So many things to worry about.  Jesus said in Matthew 6:27, "Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?"  God is not moved by your situation. He is not moved about what your going through..what you are going through is meant for your promotion!  All we need is to find out what God wants is to do about it in His Word. That's why we need to be in a good church to teach us God's Word.

God inhabits the praises of His people..Psalm 22:3. Praising God when you are in a very unpleasant situation increases your faith which is all you need to win.  Praising God always helps you cultivate an atmosphere of gratitude instead of grumbling and complaining always.

You can praise God anywhere, anyhow..if you are at work, you can lower your voice and just slightly lift your hands and praise Him, you can praise God while, cooking, cleaning, driving etc. When the enemy put negative thoughts and pictures in your mind, reject it in Jesus name and praise God for your victory. See with the eyes of the spirit and never keep your mouth shut always speak the Word and be praising God anyhow.  Don't worry about how people will feel about this, if you are a Christian, you are NOT supposed to be normal. We are not normal, we are not of this world but from above! We hail from God, we are born of His Word and we are different! We have a different way of doing things, we play by a different set of rules which is strange to the world, but remember,1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV, "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

You Can't Be Defeated!

The life of a Christian is a growing process.  When we come to God in Christ Jesus as born again Christians, we are babies in Christ. As babies, we are expected to grow to maturity. 1 Peter 2 vs 2, "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby."  It's more than going to church on Sundays, we have make out time to study the Word of God always. As parents, we want our kids to grow, fix their own meals, clean the house, get a job, marry etc. Likewise..God wants us to grow, be like Him and change things if we don't like them.

To grow in Christ, we must belong to a good Bible teaching church. Ephesians 4 vs 11-13, "And he(God) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:"

God wants us to grow, and come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ..to be completely like Jesus, act like Him and think like Him, talk like Him, etc.
Most Christians don't know what to do when they encounter bad situations.  You are busy crying to God to help you, while God is telling you to grow up.  We can't afford to think that these things don't matter, they do.  Lukewarm Christianity won't work, the world is evil, you gotta know your rights and authority in Christ to be able to stay victorious always because a Christian CANNOT be defeated!

My Thoughts This Morning...

If Jesus is the First and Last, then am somewhere in the middle. My life is already mapped out before Him. Jesus knows it all.
So I refuse to worry, I refuse to be afraid. I'm just gonna be a Wonder God has made me to be. I am a Wonder!

If Jesus called me the "Light Of The World", why can't I boldly call myself the "Light Of The World"?

If Jesus said "He Is From Above" and "I Am In Him", then why can't I say "I Am From Above"?
Okay...I am the Light of the world and I am from above! I don't belong here, I hail from God!

Lifting Up Our Hands To God.

1 Timothy 2:8 KJV, "I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting."   There's something about lifting up our hands to God in prayer...it is a spiritual sacrifice, it is a form of worship that is acceptable to God.  According to the scripture above, God wants us to practice lifting up our hands in prayer not just in church on Sundays, but everywhere!  Some people even find it difficult to lift up there hands in church on Sundays.  I have learned that being a true Christian is a conscious effort, you don't have to feel good about it, just do it because the Word of God says so.  If you consider your feelings, you will not pray, you will not go go church, you will not give, you will not read your Bible etc. But God told us not to live by our feelings.   Psalms 63:4 KJV, "Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name."

The Bible is for us, not for God, but for us. Everything written in the Bible is given for our own benefits. Lifting up our hands to God always is a sign of our total surrender to God, it is a sign of victory. The Bible states that Israel and Amalek were at war,  God through Moses the Isreali leader did something to help Israel win...Exodus 17:11 KJV,"And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed."  Because of this,  Moses' hand had to be supported to stay up until Israel won that war. My question; what does Moses raising his hand have to do with his people winning the war? If you can't figure it out, then you don't need to figure out why God wants us to be lifting up our hands everywhere in prayer to Him. It means it's for our benefit..it moves God to move on our behalf, it activates His anointing to work on our behalf.  Try it today, make it a habit, always lift up your hands in worship, thanking God for what He has done in your life. Let's cultivate this act of worship and watch our lives move from glory to glory in Jesus name..Amen!

Never Live A Day Without God!

I read blogs..mostly Nigerian blogs so I got to know about Goldie Harvey. A Nigerian Singer with loads of talent, full of life and always on the go..she had her own style that gave her a name in the showbiz.  Some people love her, some love to hate on her.  News filtered yesterday Feb. 14th that she has passed on. Just like that she just returned from the USA Grammy awards.  The details of her death I don't know much but it's confirmed that she has passed on to glory (I hope).  She had money, she had fame, she was full of life with a lot of plans for the year..she even took photos with American Ciara with plans of a collaboration.  Am sure she didn't know death was around the corner.

Question for us.  Are we living everyday for the Lord? How close are you to God? There's more to life than what we see with our physical eyes. If Jesus is not the Lord of your life, what are you waiting for?  What makes you think tomorrow is promised you as an unbeliever?  What if you die and end up finding out that truly hell is real as much as heaven and somehow you missed an opportunity to make heaven?  Are you willing to continue to pursue your earthly dreams at the expense of your soul?  Please make room for Christ in your heart..take a step back and run an inventory on your life..if it doesn't glorify God, change your style ASAP. Make a decision to live for God everyday.  Goldie's death pained me like I knew her personally..I pray she made heaven cos that's all that matters. We all are on a journey. Choose where you wanna go. I choose heaven, I choose Christ, I choose Almighty God, I choose Jesus. What about you?

God Will Never Accuse You!

Here I was praying and declaring that I am what God said I am and all of a sudden, a thought came into my mind, reminding me of something I did wrong in the past telling me how God will not hear me.  Sometimes, these thoughts can be daring, forceful even to the point that you may actually believe it.  However, I know that God will never accuse me of my sins. It's the devil that accuses us..see Revelation 12 vs 10.  How can God accuse us when He justified us in Christ Jesus. Jesus paid for our sins.
2 Corinthians 5:21 LEB, "He made the one who did not know sin to be sin on our behalf, in order that we could become the righteousness of God in him."

Fact is, if the devil succeeds in accusing you, he will make you believe that God has not forgiven you and based on that He will not answer your prayers.  In fact he tell you that that's the reason why you are going through whatever situation you found yourself in. You better be wise and stand your ground! Remember, it's a fight of faith..hold on to what God said about you..you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!  You have a right standing with God because when He looks at you, He sees Christ in you. Christ is our righteousness(that's if you're born again).  It doesn't mean God gave us a privilege to sin, but if you do sin, please collect your forgiveness immediately and keep it moving.  1 John 1:9 KJV,"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Our Fight Is Spiritual, So Get Spiritual!

Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints"

The scripture above explain that problems are more spiritual than physical; remember, man is a spirit being. However, we must be strong in the Lord, meaning we are to stand in the Word of God, Stand in the name of Jesus.  It's a fight of faith..so put on the whole armor of God, soak yourself in the Word of God, be filled with the Holy Spirit and let the Holy Spirit fill you up. By meditating on the Word of God, speaking in tongues, declaring what God said about you. As children of God, we don't fail, it's not in our DNA. We are overcomers in Christ Jesus.  God expects us His kids to overcome, for "who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God." 1 John 5:5 NIV.

You Are The Son Of God!

John 1:12-13, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
If you are born-again, I mean, if you have received Jesus as the Lord of your life, the Bible said you are now a 'son of God'.  God is the Creator of the world but He is not the Father to everyone, He is Father to only the people who received Jesus as the Lord of their lives.  He gave them power to be called the sons of God. Meaning you can call Him Father, you can interact with Him, you are born of His Word, and God is His Word!

If you are the son of God, you have rights..just like you do in your earthly father's house. Your job is to find out your rights, make sure the devil does not rob you what's rightfully yours.  The Bible said in Romans 8:16-17, "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ.."  Knowing who you are in Christ is actually very very important else one can be tortured by the devil.  This is one of the reasons why bad things may happen to a child of God...Galatians 4:1, "Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all."

He Is King Jesus!

It's amazing that many people still see Jesus as the baby in a manger or the One that hung on the cross. Some even feel so sorry for Him, remembering all His sufferings. Yes, Jesus was once a baby and yes He once hung on the cross where He paid for our sins but News Flash!  Jesus is alive and He is the King of kings!

Below is Apostle John's writings on His revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:9-18, "I John, who also am your brother..I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:..And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." (I love how Jesus touched him and told him not to be afraid, oh how He loves us!)

Remember, this apostle John was the one closest to Jesus, who was always resting at His bosom, (that was before Jesus died). He even saw Jesus after His resurrection and when He ascended into heaven. But when he saw Jesus in His Royal Majesty, he was overwhelmed by His glory to the point of falling down flat at His feet..Glory!  As important as the cross is to us, Jesus is no longer there. Jesus is alive, He is the Authority Now! Live by His name! Do all things by His name! His name can open/close any door, drive out devils, heal the sick etc.  The Bible said, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth" Philippians 2:9-10.

Have You Told God You Love Him Lately?

Individually, we like fellowship, we yearn to have intimate relationship with loved ones. We wanna hear somebody tell us that they love us, be it your spouse, kids, parents, relations, etc.  Now, if God made us to look and function like Him, then like us, He also wants some sorta love-love intimate fellowship with us also.  God wants our fellowship! He made us to have fellowship with Him.  1 Corinthians 1:9, .."God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord."....Fellowship is synonymous to Friendship, Companionship, Comradeship, etc.

Our relationship with God should be more than 'Lord give me this and that' and sometimes, it looks like God is not answering but this may be because He expects us to grow and come into fellowship with Him. Sometimes, singing praises to God is all you need to have that prayer answered. Paul and Silas were Apostles of Jesus, they went about preaching, doing God's will, but were arrested, flogged mercilessly and thrown into jail...instead of grumbling to God and being angry, they were singing and praising God and God did a great miracle that night in their midst..read Acts 16.
We know the story of King David, how he did somethings that no man should be proud of, but David was always remorseful and praising God, he had a strong fellowship with God, and God called Him the man after My heart(Acts 13 v 22).

We need to love on God sometimes, spend quality time to praise Him, tell Him how much we love Him. Lifting up our hands and voices in worship to Him. Telling Him how good He is, how awesome He is, how He has perfected everything concerning you, talk to Him in love. As you read this right now, please pause a bit, raise your hands and close your eyes, tell Jesus 'I love you' say it over and over again..tell Him how much you appreciate Him and then continue with what you are doing.   Trust me, you will feel good too :)
Some of the chapters in Psalms will encourage you on how to praise and love on God, you can start from there and remember, let everything that has breath, praise the
Lord!

You've Come To Mount Zion!

Today, I am gonna go a little deeper in the Word.

Hebrews 12:22-24 KJV,.."But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel."

As a born again Christian, you are born in Mt Zion,  Psalms 87:5 KJV,..."And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her."

Mt Zion is the City of God, made by God with its foundation fixed by God. Even though Abraham owns this world (Genesis 14 v 19), his mind was set on Mt Zion, the City of God!  Hebrews 11:10 KJV'.."For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God."

Confessing Jesus as Lord makes you a new born in Mt Zion. As one born in Zion, you have the very life of God in you. You are superior to the devil and all his activities. You have rights and privileges and should be able to enforce your rights here in this world.  That's how Jesus lived and we are like Jesus. How do you enforce your heavenly rights here on earth?  Still by confessing the Word of God continuously.  The more you say it, the more you become what you say..Confession is the key to living the heavenly life here on earth. Find out what God says about you in His Word and start confessing them. Put the Word of God in your mouth!

Your Sin Is Not An Issue With God!

2 Corinthians 5:19 NIV says,.."that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation."  The Bible is very plain about this, God is not counting our sins against us. Jesus took our punishment, paid the full price of all our sins and has reconciled us to God......Colossians 2:13-14 NCV,..."When you were spiritually dead because of your sins and because you were not free from the power of your sinful self, God made you alive with Christ, and he forgave all our sins. He canceled the debt, which listed all the rules we failed to follow. He took away that record with its rules and nailed it to the cross."

This is the reason why we gotta tell people so instead of running away from God because they think He is mad at them, they should come and receive the free gift of salvation from God thru Jesus Christ, else they will go to hell!
Mark 16:16 NKJV,..."He who believes and is baptized will be saved;  but he who does not believe will be condemned."  No matter how sinful you think you are, you have been forgiven, the Lord Jesus washed them all away with His blood. Please don't let the devil fool you, believe God, believe His Word, receive Jesus as Your Lord and get closer to God.
Remember this verse, 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV,..."For he(God) hath made him(Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Stand Your Ground!

Hebrews 10:23 KJV,.."Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)"
It's very important to pay attention to the words in the Bible even to the commas and periods.  As I was studying the Bible, I came across this scripture, and many things struck me in those words.

a) "Hold Fast"  When you are told to hold fast unto something it means, you may likely loose it if you don't take care.  Maybe you are in a hurry, or easily distracted,  loosing interest or patience in it.
b) "Profession"   Then the word 'profession' simply means your confessions. What you say, what you confess, your utterances.
c) "Without wavering"   This means hold on tight, stay strong, don't lose hope!   Issues of life, situations, circumstances may want to challenge your faith. Forces of darkness may try to put pressure on you  so you can change your confession. Don't do it, the power is in your mouth, no matter how tough it may be never change your confessions.  Continue to be positive, hopeful, keep faith alive. Keep praising God.
MAINTAIN YOUR FAITH-FILLED CONFESSIONS, STAND YOUR GROUND, FOR GOD NEVER EVER FAILS. HE IS FAITHFUL TO DO WHAT HE PROMISED. HE WILL DEFINITELY DO WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO. GOD IS NEVER LATE!
