You, God And His Word!

It is amazing how some people need God to do something for them, maybe miracles, answer to prayers, but they really don't know much about God.  They don't know His Word and they are not even bothered to find out what His Word say.  You cannot separate God from His Word and God cannot do anything for you outside His Word. John 1 v 1,3 says,..."In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."  Everything we need in life can also be found in the Word of God. (Your Holy Bible).

Romans 1 verse 16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

The Gospel is Good News, it's Word of God and God's power is in His Word, so if you expect a miracle from God, better get into His Word, find out what it says about your situation, and start confessing it in faith!  As Christians, we are saved by confessing God's Word and we live a life of victory confessing God's Word.  God's Word never fails!  If you have a situation, it doesn't matter if the most powerful Pastor prays for you, it's the Word of God in you will ensure you have and retain your miracle.  Remember, God UPHOLDS all things by the Word of His Mighty Power. Hebrews 1 v 3.

    1. Hi Debola, thanks for coming.

Now reading the Bible is an exciting thing..but it's more exciting if you are born-again. The Born-again Christian is born of the Word of God and when he/she studies the Bible, it gets more exciting and alive because you are connecting.

The Bible is all about Jesus, the Old testament in a foretell talks about the fall of man and prediction of a Saviour(Jesus) and what He will do for us. While the New Testament, is the fulfillment of the prophecy etc (that's just the summary).

So if you are Born-again, congratulations. You can get a daily guide in the market or get a copy of Rhapsody of Realities from any Christ Embassy Church around you. I love reading the Rhapsody, great book from Pastor Chris/Anita Oyakhilome. Always remember to pray to the Holy Spirit to teach you and give you understanding of the scriptures before studying your Bible.

If you are Born-again, you may concentrate more on the Epistles, it exposes your rights in Christ Jesus. That's who you are now. Example, Romas, the Corinthians, Ephesians, Colosians, Galatians, Philipians down to Revelation. Also Read the Book of John, it exposes the person of Jesus in a different way.

There's so much in Bible, so much...all of them are important, but it depends on what you are looking for..if this does not help, get back to me and be a little more specific about you. You won't really find the Bible exciting if you are not yet Born-again. Please pardon my LONG response. God Bless you Debola.
