Question: If the death of Jesus means you are redeemed from your sins, what does His resurrection mean?
Romans 4:24-25, "..It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification."
God raised Jesus from the dead and when we receive Jesus, we are new creations like Him, God sees Christ in us, we are justified, we are righteous.
2 Corinthians 5:21, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
What if I sin you may ask..well, if you understand the love of God, you will not sin, that's why you gotta study your Bible to renew your mind, get close to God. However, if you do sin, the Bible says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
You see, God's love for us is amazing...all we have to do is believe and accept Jesus as our Lord. Remember, it did not end at the Cross..Jesus paid for our sins with His life, but God raised Him from the dead for our justification. You and I can now stand in God's presence, blameless and righteous not because of what we did or didn't do but because of what Jesus did. It's all about Jesus, it's all about the love of God!
