Individually, we like fellowship, we yearn to have intimate relationship with loved ones. We wanna hear somebody tell us that they love us, be it your spouse, kids, parents, relations, etc. Now, if God made us to look and function like Him, then like us, He also wants some sorta love-love intimate fellowship with us also. God wants our fellowship! He made us to have fellowship with Him. 1 Corinthians 1:9, .."God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord."....Fellowship is synonymous to Friendship, Companionship, Comradeship, etc.
Our relationship with God should be more than 'Lord give me this and that' and sometimes, it looks like God is not answering but this may be because He expects us to grow and come into fellowship with Him. Sometimes, singing praises to God is all you need to have that prayer answered. Paul and Silas were Apostles of Jesus, they went about preaching, doing God's will, but were arrested, flogged mercilessly and thrown into jail...instead of grumbling to God and being angry, they were singing and praising God and God did a great miracle that night in their midst..read Acts 16.
We know the story of King David, how he did somethings that no man should be proud of, but David was always remorseful and praising God, he had a strong fellowship with God, and God called Him the man after My heart(Acts 13 v 22).
We need to love on God sometimes, spend quality time to praise Him, tell Him how much we love Him. Lifting up our hands and voices in worship to Him. Telling Him how good He is, how awesome He is, how He has perfected everything concerning you, talk to Him in love. As you read this right now, please pause a bit, raise your hands and close your eyes, tell Jesus 'I love you' say it over and over again..tell Him how much you appreciate Him and then continue with what you are doing. Trust me, you will feel good too :)
Some of the chapters in Psalms will encourage you on how to praise and love on God, you can start from there and remember, let everything that has breath, praise the
Lord!
He deserves all our praise
